If we want to see an Uprising, we have to understand our message. Imagine a revolutionary or martyr giving their lives for a message that they were unable to explain to others. People only live out and die for ideas that have taken hold of every part of their being—ideas that they have grasped with their whole mind, heart, soul and strength. If we are going to live lives that change the world, we must let the life-changing message sink deep into us.inflatables
What is the message that we are proclaiming? What is going to cause an Uprising among people today?
We can summarize the gospel message in four easy words: God, man, Christ, response.inflatables
God exists and is the creator of all things. He is perfect, worthy of all worship and the judge of the universe (Genesis 1:1; 1 John 1:5; Revelation 4:11).
God created man to be in an eternal relationship with Him. We were created to know, love and be loved by God, but we have fallen away from Him because of our sin. We’ve become separated from the very purpose of our existence, and we are spiritually dead (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3).
Jesus came to fix the problem of our separation from God. He is fully God and fully man, and He lived the perfect and sinless life and died on the cross for our sin. He took upon himself the wrath of God that we deserved to receive, and He rose again from the dead. In Jesus’ death our sin is paid for and in Jesus life, we are able to live. Though we were spiritually dead, Jesus has made us alive (John 1:1, 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:26, Romans 3:21-26; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:20-22).
Our response to this message is to repent and believe in Christ in order to be saved. Doing this restores the relationship with God that has been lost because of our sin and allows us to fulfill the purpose that we were made for: to know God (Mark 1:15; Acts 20:21; Romans 10:9-10).
An Uprising will begin when this message has taken hold of our lives in a transforming and radical way. Let this message sink deep into your heart, so that we can have the power to change the world for Christ!
